Team Colorado Spring Tryouts

Welcome to Team Colorado 2026 Spring Tryouts!

This season we are ONLY going to have ONE team at the 8AAA, 10AAA, and 12AAA levels to attend a competitive tournament in Minnesota over the weekend of April 24 - 26th, 2026, "The Finnesota Cup".

Tryout times are TBD at this point, but keep checking this page and stay tuned to your email as we lock in times at Family Sports Center.

AGES

Team Colorado's Spring Program is open to girls in the following age groups for each tournament:

Play Hockey - Finnesota Cup April 24th - 26th, 2026

8U (2017, advanced 2018s)
10U (2015, 2016)
12U (2013, 2014)

Our goal is to bring together the best of the best in Colorado at each of these age groups so we are sending Colorado's top talent and best representation to battle in what we know will be tough competition in that tournament.

Program Cost

Program cost is TBD and will be posted once the budget has been approved, but the cost includes uniforms (a reversible jersey and socks), 7-8 hours of on ice instruction, and 5-6 hours of off ice training with our professional coaches.

As a guide, the program cost in 2025 was $589. Travel fees for the tournament are calculated separately once expenses are determined, but include (coaches airfare, hotel, per diem, rental vehicles, and tournament fees).

COACHING STAFF

Coaching Staff is TBD and will be posted here, but you can count on our Tier I staff to be involved at every age level along with some of our 16U and 19U players as mentor coaches.

Practices

All on ice practices for Team Colorado's Spring Program will be held at Family Sports Center. Practices will start Tuesday March 31st/Wednesday April 1st and will wrap up on Tuesday April 21st/Wednesday April 22nd before the teams leave for The Finnesota Cup.

Exact practice times for each team will be posted here and also sent out to registered participants as we lock those times in at Family Sports Center.

Off-Ice Training

Details are TBD, but all off ice training will be run by staff at The Drill House, which is at Family Sports.

Off Ice training will be prior to start of each on ice session.

Tournaments

All three teams (8AAA, 10AAA, 12AAA) will compete at the Finnesota Cup April 24th - 26th. Tournament highlights include:

Four game guarantee (possible 5th game)
Three, fifteen minute stop time periods
NO TIES, if games are tied at the end of regulation, a three player shootout will be utilized to determine the winner

Spring Tryouts 2026

We are excited to host our Spring Season tryouts on SAT 3/7 and SUN 3/8 at Family Sports Center.

Times are TBD at this point and this page will be updated as they are locked in.

Tryout Cost: $100

Age Groups: 8U, 10U, 12U

Ages

Minnesota uses CURRENT year birth years for it's Spring and Summer programming so the birth years for each age group will be as follows:

8AAA (2017, and advanced 2018s)

10AAA (2015s, 2016s)

12AAA (2014s, 2013s)
